  • SCOTT HANSEN, C.S.C.S.

    OWNER/HEAD STRENGTH COACH

    Building champions in life through sport is Scott’s mission, and for the last 16 years, he’s helped hundreds of athletes from all sports reach their highest potential.

    Scott is the Head Strength Coach for the San Diego Sabers of the USPHL and has been coaching high school wrestling at La Costa Canyon High School for the last 4 years. Previously Scott was the head wrestling coach for Malden Catholic High School in Malden, MA.

    Prior to Resilient, Scott trained private clients at Equinox and was an educator in their Trainer curriculum for 10 years, while also working as a strength and conditioning coach at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, which was voted the #1 Gym in America by Men’s Health. He also served as the strength and conditioning coach of the Valley Junior Warriors (Haverhill, MA) of the EHL.

    Scott graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Functional Strength Coach, and a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified Coach.

    Scott resides in Carlsbad with his wife Shannon and, when he’s not coaching, you can probably find him at Beacon’s Beach, hiking, or watching the Patriots, Bruins, or Red Sox win championships.

  • KELLIE ALICAKOS

    STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

    Kellie is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Function Strength Coach, and a Pain Free Performance Specialist.

    Kellie received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Montclair University in New Jersey. She took her background within injury assessment and merged it with injury prevention. Her passion is to keep clients safe, strong, and motivated.

    Owning the basics and staying consistent is key to reaching your goals and assists with injury prevention. Kellie will do her best to help you achieve confidence and appreciate your body!

    When Kellie is not at the facility you can find her surfing with her husband or enjoying a cup of coffee!

  • MIKE BALTREN

    STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

    Mike began his coaching career in 2004 and has spent its entirety in North County San Diego.

    He specializes in working with both older adults (50+ years old) and young athletes.

    Over the years those athletes have been involved in hockey, football, lacrosse, fencing, baseball, tennis and wrestling, among others.

    When he isn’t coaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife, his daughter and their pets as well competing in the Scottish Highland Games.

  • SHANNON HANSEN

    OWNER/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & OPERATIONS

    Shannon is Scott’s other half and First Lady of Resilient. She oversees all front office operations including athlete enrollment, onboarding new clients, marketing, billing, and managing the overall function of the business.

    Born and raised in New England, she graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia and moved back to Boston, Massachusetts until she couldn’t handle the brutally cold winters anymore convincing Scott to move to California. Shannon’s background is primarily in Real Estate and she has 10+ years of experience in Office and Event Management.

    Shannon has always been very passionate of health and wellness, and has a love for lifting ever since Scott introduced her to strength training 16 years ago.

    Outside of the gym you can find Shannon catching rays at the beach, shopping for the best deals, listening to 2000’s Hip Hop, and spending time with family and friends on both the East and West Coast.

  • GORDIE SILVER, C.S.C.S.

    STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

    Gordie is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of San Francisco. 

    Gordie has always had a passion for helping young athletes develop and succeed and has spent the bulk of his five years of coaching experience working with high school aged athletes across many sports. He’s excited to take what he has learned from working with youth and apply it to the adults training at Resilient to help them improve their health and become more physically capable. 

    As an adult Gordie had participated in both Olympic style weightlifting and rock climbing and has been able to learn quite a bit from both sports in terms of learning and teaching skills and developing physical qualities. 

    When not coaching, training, or climbing you can probably find Gordie cooking with his wife, walking their dogs, or cheering for the Padres.
